Focus and Scope
The HELLENIC OPEN UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF INFORMATICS (HOUJOI) arose from the decision of establishing a scientific information service on the disciplines that it represents: Computer Science and Information Technology and Operations Research. This journal should become a meeting point for the HOU research community, a permanent means of knowledge, communication and updating for all academics. Contributions from the industry or from other national or international institutions are also welcome. We will work towards that goal, with the support of all our community.

Peer Review Process
Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous referees for originality, relevance, and presentation. The author will be notified of the name of an associate editor who will be responsible for the processing of the manuscript, and should address all further correspondence to that editor.
The journal will initially publish 2 editions per year in electronic format with a minimum of 4 papers per edition plus any rapid communications. A hardbound volume is produced of each at the end of each year.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
